On call, Part 91 out of the Atlanta area. Averaging 3 days a week. Mostly destinations in the South East, there and back with little to no overnight. Occasional flights to Colorado and surrounding areas. Owner is a good friend.

I'm thinking $300/day, guaranteed 3 days a week. $50/day per diem + expenses would be a good starting point. Any ideas?

If you are on call and required to answer your phone it sounds like a full time job with full time benefits. As for pay, I know idea what the piston market pays these days.

Good luck!

Few years ago I flew a 421 out of Columbus for a private owner, was paid $200.00 cash regardless of trip length, $100.00 more if the trip (TAFB) was over 6 hours and all expenses covered. Usually $50.00 a day for food and I could keep the change.

If you are only doing out and backs in the SE you will at most fly around 150 hrs per year. Thats not a whole lot of flying ( which is great) but at the same time you are not getting turbine or jet time.

I would say $50,000 to start with some sort of agreement for work rules so that if you are not scheduled to fly you can do some other flying on the side.

On a side note if you are flying a piston twin you cant beat a 414..Very nice plane

I got 200 a day (+20 per diem) for a 421 2 years ago. (P91K)

Did some more talking with the local Corporate 414/421 crowd and based on my findings, I've come up with this. Seems a little unrealistic but apparently, this is more in line with the going rate.

1: Assuming I can be applied to the companies insurance plan
$300 a day (12 hours) with 3 days gauranteed a week
$450 flat for any day exceeding 12 hours.
$300 every day away from home (Would accept $150)
Two paid weeks vacation
Comes out to a base annual pay of $46,800

2: Assuming I will NOT be applied to the companies insurance plan
$350 a day (12 hours) with 3 days gauranteed a week
$475 flat for any day exceeding 12 hours.
$350 every day away from home (Would accept $175)
Two paid weeks vacation
Comes out to a pay annual pay of $54,600
