This question is for anyone who has flown Cessna 414's and a 421C Golden Eagle. Is the fuel system (especially the fuel selectors) on a Cessna 421C Golden Eagle the same as a Cessna 414? Thanks in advance.

Depends.

421C has LEFT, XFEED, OFF and RIGHT, XFEED, OFF. 421B, if I remember, has AUX's in there.

414A, to the best of my recollection, has the same as 421B. Straight wing 414 (no tip tanks), has same as 421C and 402.

Some 421's have a nacelle tank that transfers to the left main tank. It is lubricated by the fuel so when the light on the annunciator panel goes on, turn off the trans pump. Now you get to crossfeed to rebalance the load.

That's the best of my recollection. I'm flying a 421C model these days....looking to get back into turbines...

Just to clarify, the CE-414A is the straight wing version (no tip tanks) and would be like the CE-421C, the CE-414 (which has tip tanks) would be like the CE-421B...

Thanks FalconCapt...got them backwards in my mind!

To be clear, the nacelle tank transfers into the main tank on the respective side in which it is installed. Some planes also have a locker tank which transfers to the main as well. They transfer to their respective main, too.
