Just to let all of you know who are doing sim. evals with A.T.C(Aviation Training Center). If you live in the Seattle area and choose to use Aviation Training Center(ATC)for you sim prep, please be aware. They did not keep my sim eval confidential from my current employer!!! This means my boss had to hear from someone else that I am interviewing for another job!!! This is not good!!!! And if they did it to me, they will do it to you.
I did sim training and an eval for a cargo company with A.T.C.. After the sim eval with the cargo company, she (the owner of A.T.C.)contacted my current employer and asked my boss if I had gotten a job with the cargo company yet!!! This information is supposed to be confidential!!!! At the time, my boss did not know I was interviewing.
Even before that, she tried getting information from me about the sim eval at my home, cell and work. She even had me paged over the intercom at my work. The page included her name which everyone in this area knows who she is and why I would be in contact with her.
Please understand, I am not trying to undermine my current employer, as a matter of fact, they are very receptive to the fact that we are all trying to leave to move on to become airline pilots. I just believe that there is a certain amount of trust and privacy that ATC did not maintain.
If you choose to do business with these people, please be prepared to pay high prices for the simulators and to be hounded about whom you are interviewing with and when the interview is. After the interview you will be expected to write up a summary of the interview questions and what the sim ride was like.
Again, this message is to warn anybody to use caution with this company or find a more professional organization to do business with.
Thanks for letting me vent, and I hope this helps some of you!
