Anyone know when the next round 1 interviews are going to be in N. America? I thik they had some in April, just curious.

Thanks

Just to threw in my two cents.

I was flying back from HNL this weekend. My family and I rode with the flight crew on UAL. The Capt and I started talking on the bus. Nice guy.
We got to the gate and there was a guy from Cathy trying to jump seat on our flight. I found out that he did not get on. Later I talked with the Capt in LAX. I asked why he did not allow the guy to JS. He said because he was a scab. I know they have had problems with a contract a while ago, I thought everything worked out. The capt. told me that ALPA has went overboard to hammer Cathy flight crews.
I don't know alot about this company, but just do some research on it.

In the first place, how do Cathay pilots qualify to ride on United's jumpseat ? They aren't FAR Part 121 unless there is something about the North American freighter division that I don't know about. In the second place United pilots are a$$holes where the jumpseat is concerned. A United 747 Captain denied me a ride to Taipei during the USAirways/United merger talks, just because I was a USAirways pilot. The result was I didn't get to spend Chinese New Year with my wife at her home. That wasn't the only instance of that with a USAirways pilots during that time. The selfish soon to be out of work prima donnas can keep their jumpseat :(

jumpseat

typhoonpilot,

you do not have to work for a 121 carrier to ride their jumpseat if your company has an agreement in place. For China Airlines, their pilots can ride on both Atlas and America West.

Ive done it a few times..:)

We have had pilots with Air Net who is cargo. They fly on us all the time at ACA. I have seen UAL pilots pull out little books to see if you were a scab. I have never had anyone denied JS. Heck, look at Fed Ex. We are not allowed to JS on them for over 2 years now. But they fly on us and everyone else. I don't hold a pilot responsible for anything a company does.
Like I said earlier. I don't know why this UAL pilot denied JS. But he made it clear he was a scab.
