I've always travelled from the states to the bahamas and back to the states.

What is the IFR protocol to go inter-island?

I know there is a cruising form that you need to fill out, can that be done on arrival?

thanks in advance.

The biggest thing is that you file all your flight plans with Miami flight service directly. You can call any flight services station to get that number. Be sure you dont get the 800 number because that wont work in the Bahamas. The best thing to due is to climb vfr and call miami center when you get high enough and you will get your clearance. I have never had a problem with getting my clearance as long as i filed thru Miami FSS directly.
