Just curious if anyone here has worked in the carribbean or know someone who did. Do they hire american pilots with low time? high time? Do you have to know someone or just have the sack to move down there and beat the bushes?
JSOceanLord can't respond right now. He's busy in St. Thomas flying a 135 cargo charter on an old, clapped out Falcon 20 floatplane on a 91 certificate in hard IMC from the right seat with no Captain on board and an inop autopilot.
Be careful what you wish for. I spent a year flying ATRs out of San Juan, and I can tell you the islands are not all that great. Most of them are third world countries, and cost of living is VERY high.
