I heard someone was running cargo out of KPWA (Wiley Post, Oklahoma City). not THROUGH, as in they were based here. Anyone know who that is? Navajo and Baron I think. I know there are a few that come through here but haven't heard of someone based here.

Let me know what you find, I'm curious. Seems like Tulsa is the closest "base" you could find for cargo in OK. I did some of my initial training out of PWA.

p.s.> Plan 9 from Outer Space

For some reason, it seems like I remember a company called "USA Check" hauling out of PWA using a Lance and a Seneca about 4 years ago. I did a quick search and came up with nothing by that name, but keep hunting, I know that there are a couple of really small operators there.

Kinda OT but who are you flying for, osu av8r?

To my knowledge there isn't any 135 cargo based at PWA. Central Air and Airnet go through there. Not much cargo based at TUL either. Just the two Central Air runs

Yes, Plan 9. I'll let you know after I get my resume in there and get hired or not hired. :) Sounds like a goose chase to me, but my friend claims someone is flying cargo out of there. We'll see. Getting a flying job in Oklahoma is so hard it's not even funny. I'm *COMMUTING* to a CFI job. In Phoenix. Fuh rizzle.

Commuting to Phoenix........from Oklahoma......wtf? I would be homicidal if I got "no-showed".

Yuh

I don't get no showed too often. Last night I forgot to look at the schedule late enough, and my two flights today got cancelled, and I could have spent another 6 hours in town, but not a HUGE deal. If the student no shows here, they get charged for one hour of instruction and one hour of plane.

I have only been late once (25 minutes, and I called well before, so it was known) due to a commute issue. United blocked us in, de-ice, headwinds, MX delay on the same flight. :)
