Blue, you're not that far from your 135 IFR minimums, when you get 300 more hours there will be a plethora of jobs to choose from.

Airnet does have a program like that but they are taking people with around 1000 hrs right now. They way I understand it is that they have a letter from the FAA that authorizes them to assign an SIC to a flight that would otherwise not require one. The pilot can then log all the time, but I'm not sure how they log it...SIC or PIC as sole manipulator on those legs in which they fly. I flew for them but never participated in the program at all. Some others on here may have more insight.

Currently I am a flight instructor at a university with around 900 and 50. I am interested in moving on and am very curious in the Fed Ex or UPS feeders. I have heard a little bit about them but I can't find any informatin on them, well at least doing a Google search didn't work. I was wondering if anyone had any information. I appreciate the help.

Try www.airt.net (mountain air cargo).

I've only heard great things about MAC. Friend of mine just got hired to fly the largest plane they have and he's lovin it. He hopes to get the S. America run pretty soon. Their HQ is a couple hours away from me in Denver, N.C. (Suburb of Charlotte). I have my eyes set on MAC. I want the Brazil run.

Hey, if getting hit on by hot Latinas is your thing, then by all means.......:D
There was an article about the Brazil "meat market" in FMH or some rag
sometime ago. They dig the gringos. Latinas are sexy, so are the Italians
and the Asians and the Labanese and Swedes and the .........;)

I'll probably be taking a look myself once those 135 mins come around. It seems like its always 6 months away though. Never any closer but always 6 months......

Anyway I can get a job flying 208's w/500 TT?
You never know, some drop zones are crazy and they let people they like fly their planes. Highly unlikely, but I bet it's happened before.

I interviewed for a twin otter position over lunch with some jumpers from a different drop zone a few years ago and they decided to go with the guy they "liked" better than me. Not long after that, they didn't like that guy so much, he toasted both of their new engines during a flame out/re-lite dealio.

I think someone posted about Airnet before...that might be one way, at 500 hours. Don't they have some sort of "entry" program, where you can build time from the right seat? Be careful with that, the Caravan manual says the pilot must sit in the left seat, so I don't know how that would affect your builiding PIC time.
