Hey everyone, Just looking for some advice.
Im currently a Commercial Multi/Single with instrument. Im at a block in my time building, I have two options, let me know of the pros and cons of each.
Option 1:
I live in florida now, work at an FBO, have connections to fly a c-402 with an small part 91 company, and fly SIC in a navajo and king air's for a 135. Now I can continue doing those, but the flight hours can vary, I was going to start my CFI/CFII at american flyers in pompano, then instruct while doing the other "gigs". This would probally turn out in less hours then option 2 but I would gain more experience/knowledge.
Option 2:
Is to move back to my home town of marlborough, MA and take a job as a traffic watch pilot, flying about 30 hours per week. I would build more hours with this option, but Probally wouldnt get the experience and knowledge of option 1.

By the way Im looking at going to a regional I am 20 years old now, Turn 21 in october (looking to take my ATP written then.)
Any advice would be appreciated!

I'd suggest option 1 with the CFI/II. You should have no problem matching the 30/week flight instructing in Fla. You will also continue to get ME experience, and more importantly, You will learn more and have more varied experience flight instructing and flying the occasional ME trip.

Also, don't be in too big a hurry to go to a regional. You're only 20. If you can find other ways of paying the bills while flying, look for good and fun experiences. Keep networking, and you may find that there are other paths that you would enjoy more. You have plenty of time to fly for the airlines if that is what you really want.

Get the CFI certs, instruct and build some ME on the side. When you're closer to 1K start applying. Get used to knowing the systems in every aircraft you fly. Know how to trouble shoot. Practice some CRM while SICing in the twins. Don't rush into a regional job with a lack of some experience. If you washout it'll be on your record and will make future employment less procurable.

Oh and traffic watch will put you to sleep.

traffic watch...boring? Not for me then, by the way I have about 325TT and 20 multi....

Yea so far it seems like im leaning to the CFI route...
