Does any one know if 1000 PIC in a caravan fulfills the turbine pic requirements at most corporate and 121 operators? would it be more beneficial to accept a caravan assignment for a year or so, or a navajo base for the same time period.
Personally, having flown the van (and loved it btw!) I would take the job in the navajo. Not having significant PIC in twins has limited the jobs I have been qualified for.
If you are planning on getting the 1000 Turbine PIC to bypass the regional--it will be very tough but not impossible. The competion for those jobs is just to high.
Or forget all that...which pays better??? Fly safe!
I agree, I have quite of bit of PIC time in the Van, get the twin time, it won't take long to get in the left seat of something with 2 turbine engines.
