Anyone have any insight as to what the decision making process is and what they are and aren't looking for???

None whatsoever, but I seemed to sneak by. My guess is that they are so short on staffing that they basically rubber-stamp you through unless you've given them a reason not to. I wouldn't worry about it.

They are looking for people who spell "captain" correctly.

Basically looking for warm bodies..if you have a pulse you are in.....they will take anyone without a felony conviction who can find the interview site relatively on time...they don't even care that you can't spell CAPTAIN.
