While waiting in the lobby in PHL last week, I struck up a conversation with a "gentleman" who had a hockey sticker on his briefcase. I told him I was flying with a Leafs fan all month and he said the band he was traveling with were also Leaf fans. We talked hockey for a few minutes and then he tended to some business (apparently a groupie). I then noticed a "long hair" and asked if he was part of the Leaf fan band. I told him the Leafs suck and he laughed and I asked him the name of his band. He said "Megadeath". I said no feaking way, and explained about the famous Capt. Megadeath of FI fame. He thought it was pretty cool that an airline pilot chick was into Megadeath, he even asked me about it again. He said he was a guitar player and his name was Glenn. So if you can get a hold of Glenn at the next concert I'm sure you will get backstage.

Pilots helping pilots...that's what its all about.

When one of you kind souls meets Patty Loveless flying in or out of Nashville will you let her know Albie from FedEx wants to bang her? (He's had a crush on her since seeing her "that kind of girl..." video on the flight out of Saudi Arabia after Gulf War I.)

Tell her that Albie knows they've both been lonely too long and they can drive south with 18 wheels and a dozen roses...

Lonely too long, You don't seem to miss me, and a host of other bluesy laments are 100% Patty. Kathy was the hit machine in the late 80s early 90s and 18 wheels was one of her hits.

Guess you know you are getting older when the hot little 20 year olds are sexy, but those 30/40 year old guys seem like real WOMEN. I tell my wife I'm more attracted to her now that when we were first married, and she looks at me like I'm crazy. But its true...

Given my age when both Kathy and Patty were popular, I'm just lucky to name one tune. There are kids these days that don't even know who Led Zeppelin was for God's sakes, let alone somebody like, oh I dunno, Mark Chestnutt!
