Cappy picking up ILN-MIA-ILN?

Heard that Capital Air Cargo is picking up the MIA run to ILN starting January 2nd.

Any Cappy guys see this on the schedule?

That doesn't surprise me at all. DHL changes their mind so often on what they want from ABX that hiring just isn't feasible. Why hire if there is a real possibility of having to furlough those new hires three months down the road? I don't think ABX is to blame, it's DHL.

ILN-MIA-ILN has been an Astar route, not ABX. ABX hasn't flown it for a couple of years.

The route was ILN-FLL-SJU with the DC-9 years ago. I had my FAA fam ride on it once, what a bear on a 9. But I went soft seat DAL back to CVG since I had my time getting there with the additional T/O&landing in FLL. I would LOVE to go on a 767 this year. My fingers will stay crossed until that Capital bird is in KILN.

And before itwas ILN-FLL-SJU it was ILN- MIA- SJU with the DC-9 even more years ago. I also flew that trip alot and like you I would love to do it again. I think the MIA base will see it before the ILN guys

The MIA domicile has been flying MIA-SJU-MIA for some months. It's not for DHL, though, it's for one of our other charter customers.
