hey BOSCFI... It's not necessarily true that Cape requires an ATP to hire you.... if you've got 135 mins they might hire you to fly their 'mail plane'... basically ACKair w/ cargo. I had a roomate a couple years back that got hired 3-4 yrs ago w/ just 25 hrs multi!!! It just depends how needy they are. Usually the first ground school is in mar-april so get crackin on the res.
Oh yeah If you dont have an ATp (since one is required to fly pax) they have been known to to in-house training for your ATP for free but they ask for a year out of you once you start flying the line.
Hope this helps...

Hiring

Some Interviews were Conducted yesterday in HYA. And its true Cape Air is hiring 30+. Need to replace furloughed pilots that left plus those leaving for ATR-42 training and then Guam.

Word on the street is there is a Jan 19th class date. Most of the training will have to occur now in order to get geared up for the busy summer season.

Cape air was great to work for, now they just need to bring back MEO (MQI)

Do you start off in a single pilot operation with Cape Air? I don't have 1500 hours so it would be foolish to apply if so.

they like the pilots to have a ATP but exceptions have been made for some locals,
Hey EDZO--Franks and beans!!!
