Anyone in the know... I read that Cape Air may hire with slightly lower than the required time provided that one signs a year contract. I'm currently at 1450/100 and am interested in being based in Puerto Rico permanently (I know some pilots change locations by the season). Is this possible?
Moreover; how is the training?, how long is it?, do you get paid while attending it?

I already did a search on the subject. ;)

If you want to stay in SJU... Apply with Eagle. This is a very junior base and you meet the hiring mins.

Good luck

Go to Eagle in SJU---I have friends there who enjoy the Carribean flying (even though the layovers are a bit short sometimes). And, the ATR is nicer than a C402.

Bye Bye--General Lee;)

The ATR is a neat airplane. It was really fun to fly. Except for the fact that it's Eagle. if you want San Juan, it's the way to go. Just get ready for a lot of binge drinking.
