I'm planning a trip to Cancun and wondering if anyone knows the fees in Cancun. I know it's pretty expensive and was thinking of clearing customs in Merida first since it's on the way and then going to Cancun. I've heard it's much cheaper there and worth the stop, but wanted to ask you.

Thanks!

I'm sure it's whatever they 'decide' it is on that particular day. I probably don't have to tell you that Mexico has one of the most corrupt governments in the world.

I was there about 1 month ago, during the World Economic Forum, in a Falcon 900. It was busy as hell, mostly because of the WEF. Cancun/ASUR FBO is who we used and they were very good. I don't remember exactly what our bill was, since the company pays, but Im pretty sure that our total handling bill was around 600 USD. We used contract fuel so I don't know what we paid for that. I know for sure tht the PIC will have to go into the Mexico Civil Aviation Authority office, in the FBO, and pay 60 USD cash for an "entry fee". Talk about corrupt!

Marriott Casamagna is a good hotel.
