Hi all. I was wondering if any of you have heard that submitting your interview on a site such as on www.aviationinterviews.com or a similar site can be harmful (read: "could be fired for") to a newhire. I'm new to this airline stuff after flying corporate for years and I would really like to submit my interview because the site really helped me prepare.

Do the regionals try to find out who is giving away their interview process? Do they even care? How many of you submitted your interview to a similar site? Any horror stories?

Thanks!

Dude

Do you think ANYONE gives a crap about that site?? You can get all the gauge in the world. If you're a bonehead, you're a bonehead, and won't get hired.

Well...

Just be careful when you do it. Same as when you post on here regarding your specific qualifications, name, location, etc. Better safe than sorry in my opinion. Leave out specifics about yourself like exact flight time, ratings, experience, date you interviewed, etc. Interviewers know these websites exist, but it's best to avoid personal attention if you can.

Chprplt, you misunderstood. I AM hired. I'm curious if I should post my interview or not and if you read my post again, I was asking about aviationinterviews.com or SIMILAR sites. Geeze - I'm sorry that struck such a nerve.....

You didn't strike a nerve, but lets use some brain power here. You go to your average airline interview and other people are interviewing on the same day. You post on aviationinterviews.com and it doesn't ask for your name/address/telephone number...

Do you think the airlines have the time to trace it back to you and give you grief over it?

Do you think if they had a problem with those sites, they would keep the same interview format year after year?

Like I said before.. Having the gauge does nothing for anyone unless they can shine during the interview. The airlines know that and the people who get hired know that.

yeah really...

like you're giving away top secret information for chris sakes!!

Help others out, post the info. You read it before your interview right?

Use common sense though, like here, I sure wouldn't disclose anything personal...like your name, employer, what your mommy does for a living etc.....

:D

Yes, but there is something to be said for paranioac thinking. I just don't feel safe discussing it.

hmmmmm

I think COEX are the only guys to check all that sh!t!

They took Dna samples from me and I got a call from Dr. Lee telling me I didn't get the job!!

Is this like a "I got an interview at a regional, so I feel compelled to ask stupid questions" post?

Is this like a " I got 5000+ hours, so I feel compelled to be a dick to someone who's shoes I was once in" reply?

Get a life Kilmer lover!

Actually...

This is a "I came from corporate, took the pay cut to get a seniority number and I can't believe how different the maturity level is in this board compared to the corporate or fractionals board" question.

It was a legitimate question... Forget I asked for Christ's sake!

Ask Andy Neill if he ever did this to anyone. I'll bet you get a very different response. A guy on here awhile back got ousted from a job at SkyWest over some questions asked here and a few stances taken on unions and a few airlines (not SKYW). Who else might have the time to look over boards and report to HR the views of a few awaiting a class date at SKYW? Run a search in late 2002, I believe, with his name and track his responses. It happens.

Be careful. Don't give out ANY specifics. Have fun and good luck.
