The new Director of Ops used to be a Fed, with the detroit FSDO, the Director of Maintenance used to be an assistant DM with Jet Blue, ALL of the pilots go to simuflight and SimCom for training not because they have to, but because the Chief Pilot decided that it was best, to operate an airline safely..
before you go out there and believe everything you hear on this post, take a minute and think about how true all of this is, and how much of the negative posts may be from disgruntled employees or people with a chip on their shoulder.
There is truth to how things used to operate, but Grand Aire / Tricoastal is a brand new company now, and anyone who used to work there does not know what is going on there now, because it is not the same at all as it was a year ago, six months ago, even 3 months ago.

It is the most well known side, because of the past.. but Grand Aire does not operate aircraft. Tricoastal Air, is the airline that is owned by Grand Aire Inc... much like Active Aero owns and operates USA Jet..
As far as the CP, he is still there, and was the one who made the decision that all the pilots will receive formal training outside of the company.. I don't know what the beef is with him that some people have, but he is the one who has been making the push to fly the aircraft safer. He works closely with the people who book the trips, who also call the pilots when quoting a trip to check to see how feasible it is for the aircraft. There is no longer the thought of force the pilots to get the trip done at any cost. The mentality is now, lets be safe and still get the trip done... safely....
