Anyone have any recommendations for international calling cards that work from Kuwait and other ME countries? Most of the ones I see do not have access numbers for Kuwait!

Thanks!

Post this on the Cargo side and request the info from any Kalitta guys. They should be able to advise you the best method. I never used a phone when I was there, just used e-mail. Good luck

AT&T has international pre-paid calling cards that work in the Middle East and generally have pretty decent rates. That's what I used on a regular basis when I was in Kuwait. All you need is one prepaid card and then you can use your credit card to replenish it. I think you can order one online, but if not, you might try calling their customer service number 1-877-288-3404

ATT does not work in Kuwait, You will have to use Skype or Yahoo. Vonage does not work either. The Kuwaiti phone company has a monopoly.

If you have a GSM cell phone consider getting a prepaid sim card from a european company such as vodafone or t-mobile. I have a vodafone card and switch it whenever I'm in that miserable country and it works great and is cheaper than any prepaid card I've seen.

Any chance of finding a vodafone card in Germany?

If you have a laptop, get skype. really is pretty nice. There are a couple different ways to use it.

If your staying at the Crowne in Kuwait, they have the business center downstairs and they have skype downloaded on the computers there. Allthough having the laptop would be alot easier though.

I have not seen anybody using any calling cards there, so I do not have onfo on that.

skype is the only reasonable way I have found to make calls from Kuwait..... none of my other cards worked there either.

Vodafone and T-mobile are all over Germany.

Every call I ever made from Kuwait was with an AT&T prepaid calling card. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that I was calling from a military facility, but AT&T did work for me.
