I got the call today that I am in the May 3rd class at Skyway. Did anyone else get the call? I will be looking for a crash pad or some place to stay... Any info on the aircraft that will be offered?

Looking forward to it!

Well our class is a class of 14 for the 1900. I have not heard what the next class will be but I am pretty sure there will be at least some on the 1900 because it was mentioned today.

Congratulations, and keep your fingers crossed for more airplanes!

May 3rd Class

I got the call too for the May 3rd Class. I unfortunatly had to decline because I will be on active duty with the Guard. I'm hoping for a June Class. Stephanie said the June Class depends on the Delta Deal. Congrats to the other guys hope to see you in MKE in June.

Magic Eight ball says..

Jet class. They just announced a UPG jet class the other day for later in the month. Usually they marry to the two up in the end for the sim. Of course I got all this from my magic 8 ball.

I'd keep my fingers crossed that they didn't make me sleep in the Milwaukee airport or a hotel room with 19 people in it while on layovers. If they got money for new planes, why do they pay just under what it costs mom's to send their kids off to the US Naval Sea Cadets?

Whats up FN FAL?

FN FAL - Why the hatred for Skyway? Did your sister date a Skyway pilot or something?

I have gotten my best sleep in the MKE airport. Plus if you leave a coffee cup out in front of you people will put change in it.

or a hotel room with 19 people in it while on layovers.

FN FAL - We did that on purpose.:D

Ahhh. I think I understand now why you hurt.

Congrads to all you guys that have gotten the call from Skyway Airlines for upcoming classes. It's a great place to work ! I spent just under eight yrs there, and had the great pleasure to work with a very awesome group of people. It's a very friendly and close net pilot group. Hopefully, the Delta deal will work out and the upgrade time will be accelerated.

Have a great day!

upgrade time should be under a year for the beech if things keep moving. the march 1st class there were 28 then the april 14th class had 14 then the next class who knows how many. with 40 beech fos the top person shold be halfway up the list after a few months.

with the jet if delta goes through a year and a half maybe but thats pure speculation

D

Hey Illini.....is that you Dana? I am having a great time at Skyway, wasnt too thrilled at first with getting the Beech, but I have to say that I am having a great time with all the wonderful people that make up Skyway.....I know there will be the usual ups and downs, but that's with any job. The beech is a great plane to fly as well....thats just a bonus....having hand- flown a sketchy part 135 lear 24 at 45k, it has made the transition to hand- flying the Beech that much easier. At this point, I am very happy with my decision to go to Skyway

Dorkjetcpt- Is that Matt or Todd? I miss both you guys. You two were the best. I hope all is well at blue. This is the music guy that hates imports. I just got my class date for May 17. Hope I'm half as good as you were. Later. P

BTW- FN FAL, get a life. We have decent wages for a SMALL regional out of MKE. What do you expect? I don't think I should make a $100/hr. for who I work for. That doesn't mean I'm working for whoooore wages.

BTW all others. Aug. rates for the jet are:

18.70/hr. new hire fo's
45.75 for 2nd year CPT's

I'll be making 53+ as a six year cpt. don't think that's horrible. I can more than afford my expenses. Even with high property taxes in MKE.

It's funny how many people forget that Skyway had one of the first post 9-11 contracts signed not to mention it was during a concessionary time because Midwest was having financial difficulties.

Also, Skyway flies a THIRTY-TWO seat jet. Not a FIFTY or SEVENTY or NINETY seat jet. ACA pays their FRJ pilots the same scale as their CRJ counterparts. That was done as an incentive for the ACA pilots to stay in the DoJet. So, an equal comparison can't be made between Skyway and ACA payscales.

That is not true. ACA has different scales for the CRJ and FRJ.
