Those shares are worth 400 million, Skywest is sitting on 600 million in cash, and has mentioned it was looking for aquisition oppurtunities......

let the rumors fly

How would the Non Union vs Union on property aspect work during an aquisition?

Very easy, if you want the aquistion sign the union away.
How would the pilots have any control over whether or not SkyWest purchases these shares? I fail to see how having or not having a union affects what Skywest can buy -OR- what continental can sell.

I would submit that the two companys would remain just that, 2 companys with separate pilot groups. Skywest would control xjet, but it would still be xjet and not Skywest. Just my opinion...

Chaz,

Thats a good point, if in fact they chose to maintain seperate status.

If they choose to join, just guessing, they can tender the offer with the stipulation alpa gets voted off property.

With a merger or aquisition anything and everything is possible.

The buyer is king and makes the rules.
