The word on the street that came out yesterday is that Continental is rebidding all XJT ground ops looking in favor of lower costs and a new handler....

CAL all ready rebid 5 stations in Louisiana last month that were awarded to Eagle worth $8 million instead of XJT....

I guess the beating XJT is taking from CAL will continue.....

CAL guys....any more info on this?

What does this thread have to do with ASA, or the fact that Mesa sucks?!

...I thought so.

Where did you hear this? I just don't get what Larry Kellner's problem is...

in comairs recent net conference our president said we just received ground handling for CAL express in 5 cities so I think this rumor is true

It sucks to say this, but...

If this is true, on top of Comair getting some of SKW's ORD Region UA stations, one could take from this that Comair could wind up becoming kinda like Skyway if the NW/DL merger goes down...a contract ground handling company.

Not starting rumours or flamebaiting...just making an observation.

True, KAEX is being replaced at the end of April with Delta Ghetto Ground services or American Eagle can't quite remember what the Coex ramper told me.

I was told that all of Louisiana was going to be taken over by Eagle. Supposedly, the same XJT people in SHV are going to get hired at Eagle, so the same people will be working XJT ops, just working for Eagle instead.

Well that's good at least. Having a job with someone new is better than being on the street.

Hopefully they won't be at a reduced rate yet you know they will since some have probably been there more than ten years and now have to start back over.

I would agree that Continental is doing everything they can to screw over XJT. I don't think it's just business. You get what you pay for!
