I was curious to see what the payrates are for F/A for the first 5 years. I do beleive I read somewhere that CAL FA's are in the middle of contract neogiations. I have an interview coming up for CAL and just wanted to get an idea.

1st 6 months= 19.50
2nd 6 months= same
2nd yr. = 22.78
3rd year= 24.06
4th year= 25.95
5th year= 27.84
6th year= 32.30

the vote is going on right now started the 18th will continue until the 29th. it is close. I just flew a high hour 2 day where the crew was a total no on the vote. but i won't be surprised if it does pass. under the new contract the rates are as follows:

1st year = 18.00
2nd year= 20.00
3rd year= 22.50
4th year= 25.95
5th year= 27.84
6th year= 32.30

you probably wouldn't have a long wait to get into NTA with the new cities coming up this summer.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply!

Anyone on here that has been to a recent interview at CAL? It's a group interview, but I'm just curious as to how many people on average come and if they expect you to go to training with in the month.

Thanks for all the info!

I just joined this forum because I just secured a group interview with Continental. I've been flying with Trans States for almost 5 years and it's been a while since I've interviewed for anything. I appreciate the info on the payscale. Also, what's the guarantee and per diem currently? Is it true that training is unpaid? Do you have any words of wisdom for an interview? Advice in the next week would be helpful! Thanks!

guarantee for reserves is 83 hours, per diem is 1.85 domestic. as far as training i have no idea if it is unpaid or not. i can ask but i won't be back to work until next week. i'll ask some friends if they know in the meantime but can't promise an answer. words of wisdom- just be yourself and let your experience speak for itself. you will be fine. good luck!

Training is not paid. You only get like $20 a day for per diem. I hear breakfast and lunch are provided.

Just got home from my CAL interview. I feel like it went really well, but we'll see. I let you know when I get an email!

oh!! how far did you get in the process? Did you get a second one-on-one or a panel interview?

GOOD LUCK! :)
