CAL interviews continuing?

I was just curious if anyone still has an Interview scheduled for CAL or knows of anyone else that has an interview scheduled.

I interviewed last week and was put in Jan. 23rd class- with all of the merger talk between CAL/UAL I would hate to hear that they have stopped interviewing. That would not be good for anyone trying to go to CAL!!

i have a buddy in training with CAL right now and he just told me that they are moving forward. Said right now the news is really putting some hype on it but if it happens it wont be tomorrow. He said with the retirements at both CAL and UAL even if it did happen they would more than likely have no problems Other than not moving up the list as quick. Still a good move IMHO

Currently in training - hiring will continue aggresively throughout 2007.

My sponsor, if thats what you would call him, went in to see his chief pilot this week. My application has been marked "Release for Interview". Not sure what that means, but it looks like I'm being moved off the short list. Hopefully won't be much longer now. He was told that most of the interviews for January classes are complete with just a few more slots left. After Christmas, interviews would fire back up.

I suppose time will tell, but hopefully it will be sooner than later! Good Luck All!

Hopefully the interviews and new hire classes continue regardless of what happens with any merger regardless of the combination- I still would like to see CAL merge with Alaska and Hawaiian if there has to be a merger.

I know of two people scheduled for interviews. One this week, one first week of January. So I'd say the interviews are still going...20 per week in class in December as well.

This is good news- I hope that the interviews and the new hire classes continue regardless- that is excellent!!

The Chief pilot said 64 a month until May with a little reduction over the holidays.
