C310 Freighter Crash

I understand that the pilot here was one of the displaced airtanker pilots.

I have more than a few friends at Aero Charter, this can't be easy for them. It's not that big of a company.

I was curious as to why there wasn't anything on here, or why the NTSB report took so long to show up.

Either way, I hope he rests in peace.

His name was Mark Conte, and he was a DC-4 Tanker Copilot. I remembered his name because I dropped into the Lancaster tanker base a couple years ago to check out some tankers and talk to some crews. I met Mark there, and he was more than happy to take me out and show me around his ship and talk about the industry. He was a SUPER nice guy, real friendly.

I only met him once, but I know he's the kind of guy who will be sorely missed.
