It wasn't my baby, N336L. She's still waiting for fuel gauges. Maybe now there will be some spare parts. . .

80*F at PRC front engine failed is about a 100-200 fpm descent. Rear engine failed gives about 200-300 fpm descent. This is with flaps up, which should have been first notch for departure.

The rear engines are notorious for vapor locking while waiting for departure.

Goodspeed guys!

Wow ... that was kinda' cold, wasn't it? :erm:

My condolences to the families of the crew. Godspeed guys!

BTW, Jedi ... is Gene going to publish his PPL and IR web notes in book form eventually? Absolutely a tremendous resource. Many thanks to you both. :)

I think I'm getting numb to all of the aviation-related deaths around me. It's getting to be ridiculous. There's only six flying Skymasters now.

Yes. Keep an eye on www.genehudson.com for updates. It's not up right now. He's working on both the seminar notes books along with a downloadable 'seminar'. He'll be at AOPA this year; and Sun-N-Fun, Oshkosh, and AOPA next year. I'm for sure at Oshkosh, but don't know yet about the others.

Many thanks to you both. :)
And thank you!
