I went on last Tuesday to sign my contract for the guard(finally!) and was told that anyone training to fly the H3 will be sent to Robbins AFB in ATL; has anyone else heard this?

You are actually going to Dobbins AFB in ATL. It is the schoolhouse for H2s and H3s. (they moved some of the training from Little Rock to "streamline" training. It is run by the Reserves. H3s are the same as any other Herk except for the avionics and a couple of other things. It is a pseudo glass cockpit (EFIS) and has an awesome color radar. Have fun in Hotlanta.

You might go to Atlanta, chances are slimmer than Little Rock though, the classes are small at Dobbins. It really doesnt matter, we have H2 and H3 models and the conversion course takes a week or two (for both)
