I am going to try to jump into BWI on Southwest, and then try AirTran out.. My question is, do i need a boarding pass, or security pass to get thru security in Terminal D where AirTran is... I know that i need a pass to get thru Terminal B for Southwest. Or will my ID work to get thru to Terminal D. Thanks

I have never been able to get past security with just my home made looking airnet ID. The friendly neighborhood TSA agents always look at me like I am putting them on. I suppose if I flew for a recognizable passanger airline it might work with out a boarding pass, since this is how it is supposed to work any way.

That's funny, I get past them with my charter ID no problem. I have to be screened, but I jump right to the front of the line in the SWA side.

Make sure your ducks are in a row. I jumpseated on Airtran the other day, the mornig flight was perfect, and on the return flight, the gate agent said I wasnt on the list (I'm a international PT 135 operator). And as he was saying that the Capt. came up the jetway, long story short, he basically said no, if I wasnt on the list.

I had my uniform on, my TSA approved bagde with a picture and all the pertinent info.

I wasnt being pushy or anything like that, it was just no from the git go. So, it was a long drive home in a rental car.
