First let me thank all of you here for your past advice and wisdom...which got me at least in the door at Eagle...I sailed through the written, HR and tech portions of the interview...only to sadly lose the localizer in the sim :::sigh:::: My question is...What now? Do I hold out for another shot at Eagle or continue my search elsewhere...or both? Also, I wold love to know any tricks (short of being a pest) to getting a company to call once the resume is sent...also I did Phase I and II (Ithink) with Xjt...does it really take them 60-90 days to set up for a face to face?

Thanks!!

You should be able to retest in the sim with Eagle after a few months. However, keep sending your resumes out. You might end up with a really great offer. Just about everyone has interviewed somewhere and not gotten the job. Some times things just happen for a reason. Good luck and your hard work will pay off.

Ditto. Squak VFR: Sorry to hear about the bust on the sim. I go to Eagle next week and that's the part that I'm worried about the most also. Best of luck in the search.

If you've got a few hundred multi...i bet someone else will call soon. I'm sure everyone here has a story about being turned down by ABC airline, and being so glad they were turned down. A much better job may be on the horizon for all you know!

PSA is hiring like gang busters, Piedmont is hiring! Thats only if you want to roll the dice with US Airways. No worries bro, you will be find...

Been there. I had 2 interviews in the same week. I wasn't rested/prepared for the first, but felt so good about the face to face that walking out the door I just KNEW I got the job. The second interview was so short I considered it a throw away. Guess what, I got a 'thanks, but no thanks' from the first place and a job offer from the second. If you made it that far for Eagle then by all means try again in a few months and be prepared to talk about what you've done in the meantime. It's part of the process, just keep plugging away. If Eagle called, so will someone else. Good Luck.

Keep at it!

I busted a hold on my first attempt at Eagle and did fine the second time with them. At the same time I also had interviewed with ACA aka Independence now, and got offered a job with them. Well I decided to take the job with Independence and "someday" I should get in a BUS. So you never know, just keep on plugging away!

eh, its all realtive. i personally know a guy who actaully crashed a sim on short final (after breaking out) and still got the job

Busted the Sim at Eagle....

I thought you guys just were going to wait for American to call you back.

Did you go in cold?
Sit in a SIM for a few hours before you go next time.
But before that,,,I suggest that you start drinking heavily.

Sorry to hear about it.

Passed the interview, and waiting for a class date.

I heard if you passed everything, and busted the sim, you can retest the sim in 3 months. Call and talk to Greg Bier, see what he tells you.
