Last Sat. 7/19/03 I was in MHT and saw 2 727 on Wiggin's ramp. Both had N numbers ending in BN. One was dark green with a lite green stripe and the other was either dark blue or purple with a like colored lite stripe.

Obviously the Braniff was missing from the fuselage but I think they may have been ex braniff aircraft doing a charter.

The Wiggins fueler who fueled us said they were carring Cher and her people who were in town for a concert.

Can anybody verify this or know the aircraft? I didn't get the whole N - number but like I said they ended in BN.

There was also a white PACE 737 there, it had Pace written in large red letters on the fuselage, I'm familar with Pace and know that they do this type of work also, just haven't seen that 737 before.

I just saw in a mag that it is a charter outfit, I think. They went w/the Braniff type paint jobs and then added BN to the end of the N numbers. It is in the current issue of Airways.

I could be mistaken about this, but I believe those airplanes are owned by Ascend Aviation out of San Bernadino, CA; and are operated by Ryan International. They do mostly sports teams and entertainment company charters.

These two aircraft (N415BN, N423BN) are flown by Ryan International on Sports charter operations, the MHT trip was for NASCAR not Cher. Will be back in MHT on August 11-14 for another NASCAR race.

I stopped by San Bernadino briefly yesterday on my motorcycle, saw the ramp full of ex-AA 727s. Another one is being readied for service in a modified BN 'ultra' paint scheme, looks really cool. A white belly, black on top with vertical silver trim strips, and silver over the entire nose. BN never had that particular scheme, but I think they should have!

I was talking with a Ryan crew at a hotel in DTW and they said they have plans to get all of those 72's in all of the old Braniff schemes. Apparently a gold one is already getting painted in JAX....

Cool Stuff....
