Good post. That's the reality of this industry. Most of us get along just fine and I am quite confident if we were all at a layover bar we would find a lot in common and GL and wave would get along just fine. When we were at the Monarch in PDX they would just give us the 123 deal even though we were Hawaiian. Thanks guys, you raised the bar and it had a ripple effect across the industry! :)

Good point--

We'd probably get along fine until you dropped a "Warrior Spirit" reference. Then we'd all stare are you, spurt out, "Holy Crap! It's Dan Roman!" and then laugh our azzes off. On the other hand, if it turned out that it wasn't you, I'm sure whoever it was would probably wonder what exactly those damn Southwest guys were drinking...

Southwest was the place to go, but before the Airtran merger and acquisition. In the next 10 years, SWA/AAI will have the least amount of retirements and movement. That's why I believe today you'd be wasting money getting a 737 type. You're better off at Delta.

Definitely! It is a different world today than when I got hired!
