No, mine are wired in so they're always hot, but I am having problems with the co-pilot's headset making some noise in the right ear piece.

I just don't want to send it off and have it fixed until the plane's down for an annual this winter.
 
I used mine for 2 years while at Eagle. Never had a problem with the mic jacks, just buying batteries. That was reduced when I converted it to the "AA" battery power supply.

They were the best headsets to wear in a turboprop.

I had the same problem with mine. I called them up and they gave me their overnight Fedex account number to send them in. Had them back in a week with new earseals. Minimal down time.
