Looking for options on an engine upgrade for a 1956 G35 Bonanza. I've looked at Beryl D'Shannon. Does anyone have any suggestions and or personal experiences?

Thanks.

go with the tornado alley IO 550 turbo normalized its expensive BUT you'll love all the power

I agree. With gami injectors we get ~185kts TAS @ 10,000' burning ~18gph. You'll probably need some sort of graphic engine monitor like a JPI.

That is for an A36, it also came with a 400lb useful load increase.

If you want some more info on it John Deakin former 747 capt flies the same setup in his V-tail bonanza. He writes columns on avweb, and discusses his set up in a series of articles title Pelican's Perch #31: Those Fire-Breathing Turbos.

Definitely check out Tornado Alley Turbos here in OK, they are the best in the business as far as Bonanza conversions (and others also) go, hands down. I live not too far from their facility, and I've been in there several times. It's a class operation, and everything they turn out is perfection. True, they are a bit higher pricewise, but the quality and performance is definitely worth it.
