I've seen a Boeing Aerospace Flight Department CL-604 around a few times in Seattle and abroad. Talked with a mechanic they had working for them once.....didn't seem to want to offer info (seemed to just be his personality with everyone around him). Anyone know anything about them? Where are they located, what other type of equipment (obviously CL604's)? What are they looking for as far as flight qualifications go? Contact info? I'm happy where I'm at, but one should always keep both eyes open with regards to their future!

Thanks guys for all the help!

They used to have a base at LGB, but last year they moved it to GYY. They operate CL64's and some whirlybirds...I now fly with a guy that worked for them for years, but he did not want to make the move to GYY...he said something about poor surf conditions...he did say that overall he liked flying for them.

I talked to one of their BBJ pilot's last year. I believe they have equipment in Seattle and Chicago...a mix of BBJs and CL604s. Don't know anything about the operation, quals, etc. I do know they hired Michael Chowdry's (deceased Atlas Air owner) CP not long after Chowdry was killed in the L39 accident.

On the flight I met the pilot, they were also carrying two FAs and the best darned looking female security guard. She was definitely packin'! :D

Ok...back to remedial sexual harassment class....

:D LMAO... yeah, the surf's a bit weak in Gary but, if you're into guns and inter-city warfare, things aren't so bad!

I was just out in Seattle about 3 weeks ago and one of their CL604's came in.....should've talked to one of the pilot's then but they were in and out pretty quick....besides....we all know (since we've all dealt with it sometime or another), SOMETIMES we just don't want to get involved talking job opportunities with complete strangers....plus if you follow airliners.net photos, they have some real recent ones on there with the BA Challengers.....at least the tailnumber is the same.

I got a feeling that getting contact info might be real tough with this operation....but if anyone could help out I'd appreciate it....thanks alot guys!

Boeing

I am pretty sure that they have reduced significantly the size and scope of their flight operations. Maybe down to just one BBJ, and I think it's based back in Indiana. Think Condit felt that since they were in the business of selling airliners, that's what they should be riding in!

On the other hand Boeing has been hiring a few new guys into their instructor cadre for the Boeing 737 and up. Keep an eye on their website forv future opportunities. I think these positions are vey competitive.

They still have their challengers and their bbj's.[/QU

Afraid your information is incorrect. Here it is from a former Boeing pilot.

737BZ the first BBJ and also the demo, is on a long term lease to a customer in India. Boeing is currently operating 5 Challengers and one BBJ, 349BA. They sold two last year. One of them went to Florida. Not sure where the other one went.

...sounds like a Longboarder - D"2"(squared)

Don't think they have reduced at all....2 Weeks ago I was in LGB and they had 4 challengers all lined up apu's on and waiting for pax...

You need to go back and carefully read some of the earlier posts. They still have all there Challengers, but have sold some BBJ's. End of story.

The Director of Boeing Executive Flight Operations is: Bill Roberson, it was mentioned in an article that Boeing would employ 35 people @ their GYY base. This statement was made before the department was downsized. Looks like all that's left is one BBJ and possibly 3 Challengers. They even got rid of their LJ60s.

Meee-ow! :D

ALLRIGHT! Enough with the contridictory posts. Will someone from Chicago just get in the car and drive over to Gary and check it out?

<crickets chirping>

Anyone?

<more crickets>

COME ON! Gary's not THAT bad. Ok, ok, you're right. I wouldn't go in there in a Bradley. :p TC
