OK, is it me or the Board,
My whole profile was purged from the board last night, I had to re-register this morning.
Every time I look at the list of active threads the same one stays at the top of the list with no changes. ( sammy sosa thread)

When I look at threads the Avatars are not visible ARRGGGGHHHH!!!
Sometimes the active thread screen takes on different font sizes.
I sent message to webmaster have not heard anything yet.

Maybe someone slipped me a mickey.

Is anyone else having problems????????

Something definitely happened last night; the site was down, and then it said there was a database error. However I haven't had the other problems you mention.

I'd try logging out and seeing if you still have the thread/avatar/font problem.

Update:
Actually I *am* having some of the problems you mention. Every time I come to the site, or look at a thread, my browser for some reason is loading the page out of the cache, and I keep having to press refresh. Even after I refresh it, if I go to that site/thread again, it reverts back to the way it was the first time I looked at it. Weird.

52vincent,

The sammy sosa thread stays at the top because it's a poll, every time somone answers the poll it rises to the top, even if no new posts have been made. That's normal

You can proabel turn on the avtars if you go to your user control panel. There's a setting for that.

UHH, what the f#$k over.

When I signed on, my computer signed on as a different screen name (MD80Furloughee), I'm LR25.

Either the site is messed up, or my wife has some explaining to do.

I signed on as MD80Furloughee too! And for a few minutes I was ATRDriver. Sounds like the board is goin' a little whacko this evening.

If you are having problems, log out, then back on. Respond to this thread if you are seeing any problems as of this post.

We did change a setting on the server today (Saturday) which turned out to be a bad thing, so it was reversed. It's back to the prior setting, but it sounds like there may be some caching issues out there.

I'm monitoring the situation, let me know if the problem persists, and after logging out and back in.

Sometimes when I try to reply to a message it gives me the "Page not found error" and pushing the back button gives me the "Page expired" page. It asks's you to try to resend it and I click yes, but I get a another error message. After trying to resend it three or four times, it finally does. No loggin problems though.

Log in, log out plus a cookie clean and SHIFT-F5 is not solving the problem on this system. Even a different computer with a different IP address is causing the same problems. I notice the listing of threads will not update, the last post listing was 6/5/03, and I've received 15 emails about the same updated post to a subscribed thread.

Good Luck!

A squared -- I don't think that was what he was talking about. It seems that whenever we went to check the forum, the thread listing kept reverting to whatever it was the first time we loaded it after the "incident." The thread on top was different for everybody. For me it was a CHQ thread. Also, threads I would click on, such as this one... even after making two posts, when I clicked on it, there was only 1 post--52Vincent's original one.

I had to keep hitting refresh every time I looked at a page, and even when I did, the next time I looked at it, it reverted again to the the way it was the very first time I looked at it, and had to hit refresh again, as if I never refreshed in the first place!

Another example... I edited a post I made shortly after the server came back up last night (right after I posted it), and today when I went to edit a different post, it thought I was editing the one I posted last night!

But, it seems to be working now.

I've done a rebuild of the indexes and all possible maintenance operations. Let's watch it for a day or two, if this problem persists, I'll have to restore to the last backup and we'll see what happens.

In the mean time, clear cookies, cache, reboot, and make sure it's not a client side (your browser) issue.

I am not experiencing any of these problems, so it's very hard for me to see/understand what's happening.

There is something wrong with the board.

My posts keep disappearing (not a bad thing, becase I don't really have anything to say anyway).

If i select a thread that has, say, 12 responses, only one or two of the responses appear.

If there are, say, 65 unread new posts, only 35 or so show up.

Webmaster???

Administrator,

When I posted the message above, only two posts on this thread were present. After my post, now I can access all the previous posts to mine, including yours posted this morning.

Administrator,

Can't access new posts again...this is the message I get when I try....

That was a test setting, you caught me the nanosecond it was enabled, it should be fine now, I'm still researching the earlier reported issues!

Still having problems, old posts are showing up with updated, times when I know it's a post from days ago.

The only thing to do right now is clear your cache, delete files in IE properties, make sure in the Settings button of IE's General properties page the top option is selected "Every visit..." and we'll see if this clears itself up. We'll watch it for a week.
