This just in:
It is with mixed emotions that I share with you my decision to retire as president of ASA effective such
time that a new president can be selected. This decision was not an easy one for me to make, but one
that will allow me to spend more time with my family.
I came to ASA eight years ago when we began experiencing unprecedented growth and I witnessed time
and again the unwavering dedication and pride of the ASA people in every aspect of our operation. Since
then, we’ve met and overcome countless challenges together, with our pride serving as our perpetual
cornerstone of support.
Now is the time for greatness – not just because we want it, but because it is necessary – and it is within
our grasp. With operational performance serving as the ruler against which every commercial airline in
America is measured, I am confident that a new leader with a strong set of strategic tools will be selected
who can nurture this airline, your airline, in efforts to quickly enhance its greatness and realize our vision
of becoming the most trusted and respected regional carrier.
In the meantime, until an appropriate replacement is named, I will remain at ASA and retain responsibility
for the day-to-day operation of our airline. Over the past several weeks we have seen our performance
soar to new heights thanks to the efforts of ASA people systemwide, and I know I can count on each of
you to continue providing that same level of support and commitment moving forward.
Finally, if there is one thing I am certain of, it is that the future of ASA is bright. The ASA team is a
collection of extraordinary aviation professionals who are experienced, passionate, and equipped for any
challenges that may lie ahead. I want to express my sincere thanks to all of you for affording me the
opportunity to work alongside you – it has been a fun ride. I am so proud to have been able to call myself
an ASA employee and will rely on my experiences here to guide me for years to come.
Thank you for what you continue to do every day for ASA and for what you have always done for each
other.
Bryan
ASA's future is bright? Sounds to me like a rat leaving a sinking ship.
