Hey guys. Looking for info on the Saab F/O position. The usual upgrade time, pay, QOL and bennies and such. I already did a search and heard both good and bad. Any info feel free to post or PM me. Thanks a bunch.

wait, did you just say you heard/read something GOOD about bimini island air? that cant possibly be.

stay away

a guy i know stayed 4 days and ran for his life. without any other job lined up.
another guy was there about 3 years ago and left after 2 weeks

Right now Bimini has one of their saabs parked @ KYIP flying some contract work for Murray Air's Chrysler shuttle for about a month or so....or at least until Murray gets their saab through a heavy inspection which means Bimini's saab is there indefinetely. All I know is that it would really suck to be a Chrysler employee these days...After a ********************ty day at work with possible buyout rumors, they then have to fly Bimini...yikes!

Are there any quality regional/charter companies that fly the Bahamas? Seems like every one that comes up here is shot down by ex-employees.

That's a very good question. The South Florida charter market is VERY cut throat which make the price of the charters low, which trickles down to poor pilot salaries, maintenance, training, etc. Not to mention having to compete with all the 134 and 1/2 operators down there. I know there must be some good comanies out there, but I don't know of any. Actually I know the owners of Tropic (not Tropix) Air out of FXE and they are genuinely nice people, but I don't know about the QOL of their pilots. The used to have a fleet of 402's, but now I think they only have Islanders.
