Just wondering if ther were any Big Sky people out and about on this board.

How are things over there with the introduction of the B1900?

Pay Scale?

Work Schedule?

Hiring?

They are now tied to Mesaba and guess what Mesaba is in BK. Not sure you would want to dabble in that.

I got several friends working for big sky.

pay scale sucks.

Work schedule, dedpends on what you want. If you want to be in Billings most of the time not too bad. If you want to commute sucks.

Hiring, always if you have an internal recomendation with less than 1000/50. I dont know what competitive street hire times are.

People go there chasing a fast upgrade. I'm not sure what that gets you right now, but upgrade time lingers about 1+ year.

Actually, they are owned by MAIR Holdings, the same parent company for Mesaba Airlines... Hence Big Sky is not owned by Mesaba. So our bankruptcy filing has no immediate effect on Big Sky. The only thing that could directly affect Big Sky is the scope clause that Mesaba has over Big Sky's flying. Anything over 19 seats to be flown by Big Sky has to be flown by Mesaba seniority list pilots.

Compare apples to apples, and Big Sky comes out on top. Compare the payscales to any other regional 19 seat turboprop operator........
Across the board, Big Sky pays far better.

OK......are there actually any Pilots that fly for Big Sky out there. Enough of the friend of a friend stuff. How about some actual real info.
