Wow they might actually get to pull out the catering cart on a fiddy seat for a change!

I like it. Hopefully an overnight. I remember doing this route 11 years ago.

On the down side, I might have to do the walk of shame........

755 on the ground so I would say a staged overnight for 2 former DFW crews.

Welcome to 1999.

Word on the street is that DAL is considering opening up a DFW DCI base and making use of those jetways that just got installed on the E Terminal satellite.

Sorry guys, I should have been more clear that I was just being TIC and poking fun of the domicile shuffles that ASA has been so fond of over the years.

All that is old is new again and what not.

Well well haven't seen you around for a while. How is VA?

That would be nice for DFW guys. Oh the days.

Did they really refer to ATL as their premier hub? Ghetto hub is more like it.

ASA guys,

In the best of days, how big was the DFW base for ASA? What fleet? E120? CRJ2? CRJ7/9?

How long did that base last, years open to year close?

Opened mid 80's I believe. MEM was a base before that, and then everyone moved to DFW.

At its peak, it was about 500 pilots, or about 1/3 of ASA back then. The end was CRJ-700's and 200's. Closed in 2005. All the 200's went to ATL and 80% of the 700's went to SLC. EMB-120 was around until 2004. ATR's way back, before 2000, I think.

Great people to work with across all divisions. One thing that helped that, I think, was the common break room. Chief Pilots ate lunch with the rampers.

I miss the DFW base, good times and memories.
