you forgot that Big Brown won two races and lost only one...the horse is still strong to compete again...

Actually five wins. The derby was his fourth start and he was undefeated untill saturday.

No, no, the jockey was paid off by Astar and ABX pilots. You heard it here first...

I heard the jockey actually IS an ABX pilot.

Riders get ten percent of the winners share. If they win that is. Otherwise it is a set fee known as jock mount. At the stock price of ABX, he could buys us on the his earnings from the first two races and had enough left for a cup of coffee. Also, he couldn't be one of our pilots, we consume more than he weighs in one trip to the cafeteria in the middle of the night.

Fedex has too much class to stoop that low in their advertisement. The jockey made the right decision, he felt something wasn't right and didn't want to injure his horse.

Do you remember Barbaro?

One would hope... but then, nothing surprises me anymore in this biz!

As for the horse, glad they pulled him.

For the record, I wasn't agreeing with the content of the ad or that they should run it - just thought it was interesting. I should've said that upfront I suppose. But you have to admit, it's funny!

I didn't think you did, I was just saying that I doubt Fedex (or UPS I hope) would never stoop that low with their advertisement...

I agree by the way that the ad was pretty funny... ;)
