I flew out of LAX last week in the morning and I saw an Arrow Air DC-10. He was taking off on 25R (a few ahead of us) and I heard him on Socal DEP later getting direct OCN.(probably going to SAN) Is this a USPS contract via DAY? How many crews are doing this? Do they base you in DAY or do they airline you from MIA? Interesting. Where else are the Big A DC-10s going these days? Still a lot of Ecuador?

It's a contract for UPS or USPS but everybody is still based in MIA. We still go to the usual destinations down South. We did a lot of trans-con last month for the USPS out of EWR for the Christmas rush. I guess this is supposed to be the slow season, so picking up domestic flying is a big plus!

All the best for you guys and gals over at DAL in '06! I hope there are better days ahead for everybody.
