YES!!! I am a relatively junior Captain, botom 1/3rd of the hard lines. For the last 3 months, I have gotten my 3rd, 4th, and 9th choices respectively. I haven't SAP'd anything the past 3 months because I have gotten almost exactly what I have wanted out of BidPro.

Cheapest $7.95 I can spend.

I've had good luck with it also. You just can't ask it for too much, 3-4 parameters tops. Well worth the price.

I agree! Well worth the $. Just don't blindly trust what the program spits out. I know someone who ended up doing standups last month (he was NOT a happy camper).

No reason you should get stuck flying standups if you're senior enough to hold a regular line. Whoever that was didn't use the elimination settings.

I agree with all the posts above, except the part about the guy blindly doing it and getting standups. You can eliminate them if, w/out them you have enough other bids.

I believe I've seen that you were recently hired. I wouldn't worry about it for quite some time. Get through ground school, sims, IOE, and try to have fun doing it.

I finished IOE in August, had heard about BidPro, but didn't worry about it until I could bid (and expect to get) something other than reserve and stand-ups. This month (Feb bids) was the second month I used it and it worked great. I never looked at the bids, not by choice, but I didn't have them. Last month I chose layovers as the most important choice, and got that -- however mostly 6 am and earlier reports. This month chose later show times as the most important and that worked. I'll take the cold and a 4 or 5 hour later show time any day.I'm around 240 or so of 717 fos and got my 60-something choice. I'll take that. Spent 20 minutes on BidPro and that was that. 8 bucks is well worth it, compared to hours and hours of going through the lines and pairings.
Congrats and good luck.

Bid the 737. We only have 10 of them right now, with more to come. Bid package is still very small.

Congrats and good luck.

For Feb, I checked the box to eliminate Stand-ups, but they still showed up. I had to eliminate trips that operated between 2AM and 4AM in order to eliminate them. It happened to me. (Maybe I just tried to input my criteria too fast). Just make sure to look before you submit them (I just make sure that no bid is higher than #287--or whatever the first Stand-up line is).

I did Stand-ups for about 12 months straight, and don't really feel like doing them again--unless I'm wearing an extra stripe. :)

B Skin, Thank you for the welcome. I was furloughed from ATA and now coming to AirTran. btw, i'm thrilled to be joining you. I used it at ATA and it worked very well, for reserve that is. It seems BidPro has their stuff together and I will keep the subscription going. Thanks.
