No. Unless you want a job in anything big enough to carry a set of clubs...TC

I played Aldeen near RFD last week. Really nice Public course, and it even has a semi-island green. I think it was about $30 to walk 18.

My wife drives me crazy when she uses Golf as a verb.. If your boss is an avid golfer, don't ask if you can Golf with him....ask if you can Play Golf with him...

Anyway, Spirit of St Louis (KSUS) has a course right on the field.

Thanks for the help/replies guys... I get odd requests all the time just like I'm sure the rest of you get..."Find me a golf course, near an airport thats really nice but about an hour from here." etc... Flightinfo is the first place I went to..

The boss is looking to impress cumstomers with his ability to burn jet A at a moments notice and wants to use the plane to go on a 45 minute to an 1.5 hour flight somewhere and golf... we're based in chicago.

KSUS is about the right distance..apparently looking for something on the exotic/attractive/posh side... I know I'm gettting picky, again thanks for your help.

and I'm not a golfer.. not old or bored enough to play it..(so some say).

My advice to you is, don't get started. Do drugs instead. You'll save money and you can do drugs in the house.

H.--The Brickyard at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a TPC quality course and is 15 min. from IND. 4 or 5 of the holes on the back 9 are inside the track.

If you can use 4,300' runways, go into Eagle Creek Airport. It's a short drive to the track from there.

Have fun.TC

P.S.--I grew up with the pro at the Brickyard so let me know if you decide to do it, I'll make a call.

I think it's called "Tailwinds" and it's right on the approach end of one of the rwys. Nice to watch green GV's coming and going while you try to break 80.

A-driver thanks for the offer we'll see if it happens. In a few weeks he may say, "Did I say that?"

4,300 should be fine.

Hell, I was excited to break 90 last weekend!

That is one of the finest courses in the country. Whistling Straights I think it's called (to lazy to click the link). Pete Dye design, very high end and VERY nice. They've held/will hold many touneys there (PGA Championship, US Senior Open, etc.).

NO ! The president of the company I fly for told me to not allow any golf clubs on the plane. Fishing tackle and shotguns were ok ! True story!
