I had Van Huesons when I started and recently switched to Pilot House.

The Pilot House shirts are much much better. Its a thicker material, and they're tapered so they actually fit, unless you happen to be a fatass. They stay tucked in better, and just look a lot sharper.

Them shirts are for the non beer drinking pilots!!! I seem to have neck and shoulder issues in all shirts.

Wear Landerwoods, and you'll pi$$ on everything else.

Landerwood shirts are expensive...but I've not been impressed by their cut or construction. It's the only pilot shirt I've worn that fell apart. I've had several seams come apart in the wash.

The crewgear shirts were okay, and the Van Heusen shirts are just fine. I wouldn't spent the extra money on the Landerwood. I did once, and wasn't satisfied...Van Heusen works just fine.

I own 12 (6 or 7 for the last 6 years) and have never had any problems w/ construction, even in commercial washers. I've managed to fight off the beer gut and find them cut perfectly for me. Most others I've tried are full of extra material you gotta tuck in.

I'll bet if you called them with your issue, they'd replace it. Might be an isolated incident. I believe in getting what you pay for.
