Our company is kicking around the idea of possibly getting a long-range airplane to start doing trips to Australia.

We will be getting a CL300 in early '09 but our higher-ups already know that's not the airplane to do it in.

China/Mongolia are not out of the question within the next 3-5 years either.

What's the best airplane to do something like this in? Ideally we'd like to stop once (Hawaii) going from the Midwest-Australia.

G550, Global, CL605, 7X? I'm curious on some opinions. I don't believe money is a big issue.

Thanks in advance.

BBJ?

Airbus ACJ?

I think either of those would be excellent choices since money isn't an object.

However, if your logistics prohibit operating that large an airframe, Gulfstream is the only way to go for world-wide operation and world-wide support.

You do NOT want to breakdown in some of the places you're talking about with a Bombardier product, IMHO.

I believe the next available delivery slot on a new G550 is sometime in 2011. This is only rumor but it came from a reliable source. You can pay a 20% premium for an earlier slot if you are so inclined.

A G550 will go from the East Coast to Hawaii, change crews, and then continue to Sydney without a problem. Maybe your higher-up's should skip the CL300 and apply that $$$ to a Savannah product ASAP to get in line???
