You forgot to finish the sentence on your User Title by your User Name.

You are now free to... involuntarily reduce your work rules because you "didn't need representation".

I know the rest of you can do better.

"We are pleased with our pilots' decision to reject outside representation and to maintain our current open-door relationship," Snow said.
"The long-term interests of all SkyWest Airlines employees are best served with open and direct communication, and our ability to work with our pilots is a key factor to our future success."

Does any pilot at Skywest belive this? Anyone?

SkyWest spokeswoman Marissa Snow said the airline was heartened by the results of the telephone voting, which began Oct. 8.

Translated this means the pilots have no say in what we say and do and the stockholders will probably vote in a bonus for all of the upper management as we laugh our way to the bank at the pilot's expense.

'He said SkyWest officials sent messages urging pilots not to even pick up the phone to vote if they opposed the drive because they might inadvertently cast ballots for collective bargaining.'

Wow, and they let these same people fly airplanes?

I flown with a quite a few that do believe that. Trying to get them to see otherwise is like trying to make $hit turn to gold.

The other problem is there are too many guys like Joe Merchant, A350, luckytohaveajob that think ALPA can turn it to gold...

Hey,

Respect the outcome. It was democratic. The only company that gets a Union, deserves a Union. Apparently, 2/3's of the pilot group are happy with status quo. Let it Be!

Does this mean that SKYW, Inc. will not be able to maintain the same relationship with ASA? I've never had a problem before with picking up the phone to call Scott Hall or any other chief pilot.

I hope the same 2/3's of the pilot group are going to be happy to stay there for a very long time.

"You are dealing with a company that came into being on kind of a grass-roots level, and their management has always maintained that doctrine, that we are a . . . family-oriented company. They've sold that notion to the pilots group for a long time," Bernskoetter said.

How long before "bend you over and take it up the as$" becomes a part of the family-oriented company doctrine?
