Trying to plan a trip to Bermuda, HF but no selcal. Is selcal required? Done the trip before but with a fully loaded A/C.

SECAL not required. Highly recommend the hamilton princess, scooters, and the swizzle inn.

Call Eugene, ask him what kind of Subway hoagie he wants, and ask him if the GPU has been fixed!

I second bringing Subway and doughnuts for the guys BAS and the control tower. The Swizzle Inn is nice. If you like fish and chips, visit the White Horse in St. George. If you're lucky, you can find a cove of good look'n female nudie sunbathers.

Beware of the Triangle!!!

Tailwinds...

SELCAL is a luxury item for pilots. The HF works the same, you just have to listen to the static for a couple hours on the way out there.
SELCAL allows you to turn the squelch on and have silence. If they need you then they "selective call" you via your selcal system.

Have a good trip and remember, swizzle in and swagger out.
