I am not surewhat one time cost, but we operate a 400 on a Flight Safety full service contract and it was $12,000 each. I think they told me the 400A was $16,000. One time recurrents last year were aqround $9,000.

Call Flight Safety in ICT and ask them 800 488 3747.

Here's the latest salary info that I have (AvCrew survey, July 05)

Beechjet 400:

1 Department Manager: $69,000

10 Chief Pilots:
-Average: 71418
-High: 85000
-Low: 52000

20 Captains:
-Average: 62275
-High: 115000
-Low: 42000

9 First Officers:
-Average: 35476
-High: 38780
-Low: 30000

If you want, pm me with your email and I can email you the survey. ~Josh

Both are appreciated, but I was specifically targeting cost of the type.

Trying to make the jet transition without getting taken advantage of.

Thanks for the responses!!

Cost of the type will vary greatly depending on where you train. I would guesstimate that it's around $20K for flight safety. I think that it was just under $22K for a Citation Encore initial type course and about $12K for the last recurrent I did.

Alternatively, my CRJ type rating (which I acquired myself with an unemployment grant) cost me $5000.

i think mine was like 18 or 20k at simuflite dallas, just call them or flight safetey directly and they should be able to give you the exact price

I know a CE-500 at Simuflite is about $15K initial, so the Beech will probably be just a bit more expensive.

Hey flyboy, I found noticed this posting for a be-350 first officer job at RBD where they started the first officer out at about 63k. Might be a good transition for a guy with your time instead of having to shell out all the money up front for the beechjet type. Good luck...

I still think those F/O numbers are horribly skewed.
