Any Info on QOL, scheds, pay etc; about this dept.?
Description
Works under the direction and supervision of the Chief Pilot in the Corporate Aviation Group. Maintains a high level of knowledge in the following areas: Company Policy, BD's Flight Operations Procedures Manual, FAA Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manuals, and other technical data appropriate to aircraft operations. Conduct flight operations in strict compliance with company policies, procedures and federal regulations. Maintain currency with regards to medical requirements, training and hourly flight guidelines. Use superior judgment to conduct safe and efficient flights in company aircraft. Maintain a high level of personal decorum, professional conduct and personal appearance. Maintain awareness of crew legal requirements and ensure timely communication to Chief Pilot and/or Safety Officer when status becomes in question. Maintain constant communication with maintenance and dispatch personnel when conducting flights. Provides trip reports to Chief Pilot's office when required or requested. Attend company required training to maintain currency. Ensure that passenger needs are met with regards to comfort and safety. Provide informational updates to passengers. Maintain complete & approved company uniform as outlined in the Flight Operations Procedures Manual. Provide Chief Pilot and/or Safety Officer with any information regarding the safety of flight.
Qualifications
Ø A minimum of two (2) years college; Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Ø Two (2) years of recent experience as a Captain in Corporate International Operations.
Ø A minimum of 5,000 hours total flight time with 3,000 hours as PIC, of which 50% is in turbine powered aircraft.
Ø FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating with appropriate aircraft and type ratings.
Ø FAA 1st class medical certificate.
Ø Falcon 900Ex and/or 2000 ExEASy experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and cognitive skills
- Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing and walking and lifting in excess of 30lbs. Can involve long periods of sitting.
- Willing to work long hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Extensive travel, rotating schedules and international travel required
In addition to the above, individuals must be able to effectively interact with corporate personnel and other members of the Flight Department. Candidates must have a service-oriented approach in his/her daily interaction with aircraft users and must maintain the teamwork concept as a core value.
