Duties:
PILOT I Assists in the provision of safe, secure, dependable, efficient, and flexible air travel for Bechtel and Fremont executive management, while remaining in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and Bechtel Aircraft Operations (BAO) procedures. Maintains confidentiality at all times. 1.Flies as Second-in-Command (SIC) and, absent special circumstances, from the right seat.2.May assist with pre-flight planning; attends pre-flight briefings; ensures that all required licenses, medical certificates, passports, and visas are valid before departure.3.Assists the captain: in determining that the aircraft is in airworthy condition; in the overall conduct of the flight, per operator procedures and aircraft limitations, from initial departure until return to home base in a manner guaranteed to ensure the safe transport of key executives and their families, authorized employees, and physical assets; in ensuring that a Part 91 compliant briefing is conducted for all passengers prior to flight; by reporting conditions which could be detrimental to safe operations including, but not limited to, mechanical problems, weather, crew proficiency, deviations from Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and airport or Air Traffic Control problems; in the appropriate provision of passenger services during trips, e.g., the arrangement of in-flight catering while away from home base; in the accurate and timely completion and maintenance of flight records and BAO documentation; in correctly unloading the cabin and galley area at the end of each flight and, upon returning to home base, restocking all provisioning items carried on the aircraft.4.Assists in the development, implementation, and administration of standard flight operations procedures to ensure that executive travel needs are met in a safe, secure, dependable, efficient, and flexible manner.5.Maintains flight currency in appropriate BAO aircraft, and keeps track of all other necessary personal qualifications as a crewmember.6.Assumes any responsibilities delegated by the Chief Pilot or the Manager of Aircraft Operations.The following are minimum qualifications - Licenses and Certificates: Current 1st Class FAA Medical Certificate Commercial pilot license, with Instrument and Airplane Multi-Engine Land ratings Successful completion of the FAA ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) written examFlight Experience: Total of 1,500 hours 750 hours of Pilot in Command time 500 hours of multi-engine timeDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and appropriate portions of the Airmen s Information Manual (AIM).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience in dealing with executive management, government officials, and service center representatives.Must be willing to work irregular hours and be able to travel for extended periods of time.
